HELP!! SRG OR ELECTRIC??
« Reply #-1 on: December 19, 2015, 09:07:39 AM »
I need your opinion!

I bought the SRG recently and haven't used it.  I have the option to buy the Electric version for $100 bucks on craigslist with the rib hooks and leg racks.  Should I take the SRG back and get the electric version?  I need some opinions here!!  I don't know what to do!!

Thanks for all who reply!

Keep the SRG more  more  Versatile.  The BEESR is good but near as good as the SRG

Stick with the SRG for now, there are always good deals on all the SRG models on Craigslist if you want another down the road.

Good move. Years ago when my 1st BE bottomed out I wanted a SRG and could only find the electric ones. W/I a week I returned it and got another BE. It's not the same heat or IR or taste you get from the gas one. Could just be me but that's how I feel. I've also cooked on an electric grill and did not like the results.
Love to cook and eat

SRG is worth the money just for it's ability to make the best baked taters in the world :-)

TBE, BEESR and SRG all have their place but the SRG by far is the most useful.

I have owned all three and I always go to the SRG first.  But if you camp the BEESR is hard to beat for its size
