Celebrating #125 and #126 butts in INFRARED!
« Reply #-1 on: February 06, 2016, 11:15:15 AM »
Well, I finally I hit the #125 mark  :D  8):D 8) :D  was wondering if I was going to get there. ;) ;) ;)

I can't believe I hit 125 and 126 and these SRG's still rocking like they were new!   Even with all the cooking/abuse I have put then through they keep asking for more!!

Worse issue I have had is one of the chamber bottoms came lose, had a friend re-weld and it's as good as new  :D

So this is how I'm doing these.  Injected with the new mop sauce I made (see here http://www.letstalkbbq.com/index.php?topic=16175.msg216085#msg216085)

I fired up the SRG, placed a 3/4 full Smok'n Tommy Ring TM let it burn for 5 mins to get the pellets going and placed the  butts the "Butt" basket with two racks turned heat to med low and will check in 2 hrs to see how they are doing  :D :D

Tommy:  Where did you get that ring with all the holes?  It does not look like you could have drilled all those holes?  I see your past posts on hoping to get your ring built for sale, but it looked like it was not going to be done yet.  Surely, all those holes would allow more air flow and smoke.

This was to be the Smok'n Tommy Ring TM made by A-Maze-N smokers, problem is cost to make is way to high because of wasted materials in the process of manufacturing.

I will try to stay on Todd to see if it can ever be brought to market.  Once lit it goes for 6 even 8 hrs if lit on one side.   Really a little more than you need for an SRG butt.  But it is nice to know you have smoke rolling the entire time without worrying about running out of pellets 8) 8) 8)
