SRG Wings
« Reply #-1 on: September 06, 2016, 09:27:35 AM »
Did a quick batch of wings for dinner last night split between Lemon Pepper and BBQ 3000 both from Penzeys since they are no sugar for the SRG.

That's a beautiful plate of wings.
I could eat wings three nights a week, but V has been about burned out on chicken.

Yum! I'll have to check my Penzy's catalogue for those. Do you use them on roast chicken in the big Easy as well?

Did a quick batch of wings for dinner last night split between Lemon Pepper and BBQ 3000 both from Penzeys since they are no sugar for the SRG.

Yes I use them for chicken, lot's of the Penzeys spice mixes don't have sugar which makes them perfect for the SRG or Big Easy. Plus we have a store in N Dallas so I can get lots of the small bottles to try different things without a big investment.

These look great and can't wait to try them.

About how long did they take, and did you need to let them dry for a crispy skin or anything?

They took about 30 minutes roughly and no drying for crispy skin they were plenty crispy.

I ordered the lemon pepper and the other 300BBQ from Penzy's yesterday. For free shipping I had to order a few more things I like their hot chocolate mix so I ordered some of that and a couple of taco seasonings I've never tried, and some cinnamon.

I don't know if you're on their mailing list, but after I place my order I got an email from them about a price rise coming on one of their producs, but when you scroll down, there's a coupone for a free 1/2 cup jar of the lemon pepper if you buy $3 worth of something and it expires on the 21st.  I don't know if its worth it because shipping for one $3 item would probably be double that! But if anyone is thinking of placing an order anyway, it's  would give them a freebie of the lemon pepper.
