Butt in the BEESR
« Reply #-1 on: October 15, 2016, 05:33:17 PM »
It's been a few years (ugh, I know) since I smoked a butt in my BEESR. So I decided to knock the dust off of the ol girl and smoke up about a 5 pounder. Rubbed the butt down with a butt rub from a local spice company, and injected it with some cajun butter. Used the tried and true 15-10-8 method, and about 5.5 hours later it was done. Wrapped it in foil and towels, and left it in the microwave (not running of course) for about 2 hours, shredded and ate. All in all, delicious! I had never tried it with cajun butter before, and it did add another level to the flavor... tried to add pics, but the file size was too large.

Use a photo sharing site like Photobucket or Flickr to add your photos to your posts.

Cajun butter sounds like a good idea

Final product. I wasn't too sure how to post these through photobucket, so I went in there and shrunk them down a bit.

That butt looks great.
I think it's time to pull one out of the freezer & get it in the smoker.
