Frog mats in an SRG
« Reply #-1 on: April 11, 2012, 02:06:03 PM »
During my extended cooks with my SRG's I found that sometimes no matter how much Pam non-stick spray you use the meat always sticks.  So that being said I decided to try my frog mats in my SRG's (on low only) they worked great no sticking and easy to clean!

You can get them here     http://www.yardandpool.com/SearchResults.asp?mfg=FrogMats

They are a great product Tommy! Did the edges of them - nearest the walls hold up to the high heat?

yep, didn't hurt them one bit.  I thought I was going to burn them being like that but they help up just fine

Frogmats are good up to about 450 so long as there's no direct flame.  The only probs I've had have been when I let things get too hot and that was my fault.  I've used 'em in my pellet cookers, gasser and even over (reasonable distance) some lump.  I think they are the greatest invention since the round wheel.

Frogmats are great!  I love mine.

Prevent just one or two expensive pieces of salmon from falling apart & in between the grates from sticking and the Frogmat darn near pays for itself!
