Title: A new beer to try from Sandman
Post by: Smokin Don on April 17, 2015, 01:17:53 AM
My wife went through Sandman's carry out last night for a pizza and he gave her a beer for me to try, Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA. When I saw the addition of citrus was not sure I would like it. I talked to him today before I tried it and he said he thought it was pretty good with a hoppy flavor, he does like a more hoppy beer than I do.

I tried it this afternoon and pretty darn good. One of the better IPA's that are full hop flavor and most of those are too bitter for me but this one is not. I will buy it. Still the Black Butte Porter is my favorite from Deschutes. Smokin Don

Don every beer I've tried from Deschutes brewery has been pretty darn good!  I'll look for this one. But I'm like you,  I really like porter-style beers.

I will keep an eye out for it Don.

I love a good IPA.

Dogfish head 90 minute IPA is an example of about as deep and hoppy beer I will drink.

Only one time did I try one that was too heavy and deep. That one was made by He-Brew.

This is, hands down, one of my favorite IPA's.  I prefer the Citra-hopped IPA's (much like my home brew Imperial Pale).  Glad you enjoyed it Don.
