Title: My other BIG project due in Sunday
Post by: TMB on May 05, 2017, 05:59:21 PM
Kimmie and live in tornado alley as most of y'all know.   2011 was the worse with an F5 hitting within 300 feet of the Bomm-A-Rosa  ??? ???

So Since we decided to float the loan for the new deck we thought it would be a good idea to get a Storm Shelter as well..

Sunday it's going to be installed in the garage.

Here are a few pictures of it being built.    More to come Sunday after it's been installed!

Since it's 1/4 plate steel and looks like a smoker wonder if Kimmie would mine me using it for a LARGE smoker in the off season :);)

I've never seen one of these before does it get bolted to the garage floor?

Looks like a dog house for when you get in trouble

yes it bolted to the floor      Texas Tech has done study's on this model and it will hold its own through an F5 tornado.     There are are YouTube video where they run a car into one at 30 mph without damage

I keep telling him if he'd just cook Kimmie's steaks the way she likes, without saying a word,  she wouldn't get worked up into a whirlwind, and he might not need a place to run and hide!  :D
