After debating back and forth between a stick burner or a pellet, pulled the trigger and ordered a RecTec 680. Now I sit by the door each day waiting for the truck to arrive.
-
You will not regret it Gus congrats
Looking forward to seeing the cooks on it

A wise choice......sitting next to a stick burner for anywhere to 6 hours to 18 hours gets old fast............congrats

Wow that's a nice early/late Christmas present for you.

You're gonna love it...

Congrats Gus!

Is my type coming through green?? Because I'm so envious I'm assuming it has to be.
-
Congrats on your new smoker. Your going to love it.

Congrats

I got my Rec Tec 680 three weeks ago and absolutely love it. I had a Memphis Pro in a previous life, and it is a great grill also, but I must say I like the Rec Tec better. Bigger hopper and more smoke. Enjoy.

Awesome! Can't wait to see you receive and enjoy the heck out of it...and please don't forget the pics :)

Congrats!
Considering a pellet grill this summer that ones in the price range and is on the list along with a GMG will be looking for your cooks! ;)

So it will arrive sometime today at the local freight line terminal (about 12 miles away). Due to the need to have a lift truck they will not be able to deliver until Monday morning. Which won't help since I will be out of town until Thursday. So it is set up to be delivered Thursday. Which in hindsight it is not too bad. That way I can clear space on my deck, the mod parts (larger wheels) that I ordered will be here so I only have to put wheels on once, the pellets I ordered will be here, etc. (trying to convince myself).
May take a trip to Restaurant Depot in Nashville this weekend and pick up something good to break it in.
