Title: New damaged hasty bake 256
Post by: FrugalQ on May 08, 2017, 08:42:31 PM
So the Indy craigslist has a hasty bake 256 for $600 bucks. I'm fairly handy and the damage looks minor-ish. I don't know much about these but is this a steal I should grab and fix? Is it fixable?  I know a few of you guys have these.

What is the damage? You got a link to CL?  You can also call Hasty Bake and see what they say about the fix and how much the pit originally cost...............

That is a great price and a little less than half of what it cost new. Looks to me like both of the problems could be fixed fairly easy. This is one of their better models and would make you a great cooker.

I just cooked on the all Stainless version (model 257) today and I sure love these cookers.

If it was closer, I would beat you to it.  If it has never been used, I would guess you might get the manufacturer to send parts free to fix it up.  None of those issues appear major - cosmetic in nature.
