New member looking to learn. Long time gas grill and Charcoal smoker user. Just ordered a Big Easy SRG not looking forward to assembly, but looking forward to cooking with it. Hope to be cooking by Mother's day.

There are a lot of SRG users here so once you get the unit going just get on the forum and start posting. Your first cook is up to you but I would start with a chicken just to get it broken in
Remember to season it well, this will help you in many ways such as keeping rust down to a min and to equal out the temps in the chamber.

If you keep it seasoned that won't be for a long time! My 1st SRG is about 8 years old and been through the ringer ;) and still cooking with it. Sunday I cooked my 139th butt in it :thumbup:
