:) Hi folks. I just purchased a Camp Chef Woodwind Pellet Grill to try smoking and replace my Weber grill. I am a true newbie and have no idea what I'm doing, but very open to learning. Watching lots of videos on youtube and frankly, it's overwhelming. I'm very interested in making jerky (bought the jerky rack, turkey cannon and sear box), smoking chicken, wings and turkey. I don't have any spices yet and looking for suggestions.
I look forward to learning from everyone and sharing my successes and screw-ups lol.

Welcome Dan!
Look, take a deep breath and know that you are among friends. :D :D :D
We ALL start any new adventure at the same place: the beginning! ;) Be comforted that no one here will make you feel intimidated, so fire away with any and all questions. Cooking - and helping others enjoy this thing we love to do is what makes it the MOST fun.
So - dig in, join the discussions, post questions and prepare to learn something every day. I do. We have so many folks here with a great deal of experience - that enjoy sharing.

Welcome from northern Cali. Savor spice, Oakridge rubs are good ones to start with. Lots of pellet jockeys here.

Welcome from Southern California.
I did a product review on the Camp Chef pellet grill when they first hit the market around 4-5 years ago....check it out:
