We have circle mowed with goats...They don't need gas...they make their own! ;)

Great idea.  However, I'd use a larger stob such as a 4x4 or something so each circle would be much smaller.

 Of course, you could always have a bunch of vegetarian, Hawaiian turtles to do it for you.  No gas but do require high priced Scotch for energy.
