Title: Holiday weekend cook
Post by: Scallywag on September 02, 2013, 05:16:58 PM
So I spent 3 days at the lake house unwinding, it was awesome.wanted to make the family at least one memorable dinner. So I made up a 60 day dry aged prime rib roast with lobster salad mashed potatoes and roasted corn. It was so good I got a kiss from the wife!(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/09/03/maba8a5u.jpg)(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/09/03/azyhugah.jpg)(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/09/03/qepupyta.jpg)(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/09/03/y4a9ydag.jpg)(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/09/03/tesu9a4e.jpg)(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/09/03/9ude4a5e.jpg)

I see you like to go for the really long dry aging!

Looks fantastic!

Are you using the Umai dry age bags?

No.. My local butcher will hang and dry age at a cost. I'm looking into those bags though so I can do it myself

Didn't get a line in the water bro.. Was busy teaching Nolan how to ride his bike and chasing Jack around.. He went from crawling to running in a matter of days!

The steak looked fantastic, as does your view!

Long ago I lived in Vermont, and my folks had a place on Lake Champlain - your pic instantly brought back memories of that place.  I'd completely forgotten about that place.
