Did up a small 8lbs. pork shoulder yesterday in the PBC. Needed some pulled pork for lunches. For some reason I forgot to take a picture of it all pulled but it pulled apart great with a nice bark. It took 10 hours in the PBC with temps holding around 230-250 depending how closed I kept the vent.

Now that looks good! Very nice job!
-
WOW I'd wait 10 hours for that, looks great. ;)
-
X2 on the Wow,looks crazy good.
-
Nice looking bark.
-
That's as good as it gets

Looks good. Those are kinda low temps for the barrel. Mine normally runs 260 to 285. How did you start the fire?

Those are the temps i wanted for this cook. I choke off the bottom vent with a fridge magnet to get the lower temps, low and slow. I always use my electric charcoal lighter or blow torch. Cant stand lighter fluid.

I prefer a larger butt however that one looks mighty fine ;)

looks gooood

Awesome looking pork butt!

Beautiful barkage

Thanks everyone. I found out a few years ago from a forum member of the bradley site to use Blackstrap molasses if you want good bark. And he was not wrong on that. Use that as your glue and add your rub and your good to go. ;)
Low and slow is the key also.

Well done Devo looks so good.
Been using the black strap trick for some time :)
-
Was wondering about black strap. Will give it a try. Have always used regular molasses

That is one amazing color on the pork butt...great job of getting the PBC to run lower and slower 8)
