consumer cellular
« Reply #-1 on: September 30, 2012, 02:47:44 PM »
I am the kind of cell phone user that just wants his phone to make calls and get calls.
I dont want/need text or voice mail...none of that fancy stuff...just good old fashioned phone calls.
I have been with Verizon forever and just love the service..but.............

I can't get just phone service...I pay 48 bucks a month...it is the cheapest plan Verizon has...thought of Jitterbug but their plans arent much cheaper and their one phone is 150 bucks!!

I just switched to   http://www.consumercellular.com/        and I get to keep my Verizon phone number!!!!
no contract
if you want texting you can or if you don't you don't!!
Motorola phone with a camera and bluetooth for 35.00!!!!!!
I got 300 minutes and my new bill is 20.00 a month plus tax...that's it!!
They have a bunch of plans and a bunch of phones to choose from.

If you just want your cell phone to make and get calls and not play tricks and fetch the paper this might be the service for you!!!

I use Virgin Mobile and have a plan that includes 300 minutes talk time, unlimited texting and data for $25 per month. The same plan is $35/month now for new folk and you have to buy a new phone they don't give it to you for a penny like all the big verizons and t-mobile carriers. I think Virgin is partners with sprint.
Thanks for the heads up Smoke :)
