CBS just announced that Sandy has weakened and is no longer a hurricane but it still looks evil to me. They just showed Pea Island in North Carolina and it got belted pretty hard.

To everyone in the storms path we are praying for ya out here on the West Coast...............

My thoughts and prayers are with anyone in the vicinity - hurricane or not, it still sounds pretty wicked!

It's very very bad here. 2/3 of NJ is without power including me. Praying for other families out there. We're safe.

The eye of the storm is just to our southeast as I type this. We are fortunate and have not lost power in our immediate area, although several in N.E. Ohio have. We've only gotten minor flooding here in low lying areas, but still the amount of rain, wind & cold we got here was unbelievable, and we didn't even get the brunt of it like the folks further east got.

The wind was bad enough that school for our whole area was cancelled. I can't recall that ever happening before.

I too will be praying for those who got hit hard from this storm.

Ten, you and all those in the path of this storm are in our thoughts and prayers. Here in Alabama we know how scarey they are.

It's very bad here in NJ. I'm sure you have seen alot of it on the news. We're doing OK. Gas stations are like the were in the 70's, looooong lines. And those that are open, are running out of gas. Not sure when our power will be restored, but I think its going to be a while.
Bad situation overall.
Talk to you all soon and be safe.

Stay safe Sam. At least folks like you who know how to cook outdoors can eat during times like this.
