Lighten up and stop all the whining!

Oops, sorry.  It was just pointed out to me that this is important stuff and makes a difference in US foreign and domestic policy and the outcome of life across the universe (not to mention whirled peas).  How silly of me to think it was only about a relatively unimportant game.

No - the Turtle is WRONG.. THIS is Texas College Football. In Texas the order is a s follows:

1. Jesus
2. John Wayne
3. FOOTBALL

And anyone that says otherwise is a hard shelled reptilian grass eater...uh - wait...sorry Ka Honu... :D

John Wayne was a Californian who hated horses.  Substitute Nolan Ryan and we've got a deal!

Opinions are like ***pits...we all have 'em...well, you know the rest.

I'd like to see us stay on the topic of OUTDOOR cookin'...

We probably won't be offending each other with the arguments about which sauce (or no sauce) is best.

Wannna fight?  How about gettin' serious about whether to soak to wood chips or not.

Who wants to fight about football????

I be quiet now...

Well, Jaxon, I was pretty set against soaking wood chips - but then I read a link from Smoke that has me re-thinking my opinions...

I don't want you to think I don't appreciate the importance of football in my own life.  Back in the late 60s and early 70s I spent most of my time overseas in places that had very little football.  When I got back to the US I found that I'd pretty much lost the habit of following the game closely but still watched occasionally.

I also discovered that something called Monday Night Football had been invented - a night when guys were glued to the screen, often in some bar or another, and the ladies in those establishments were bored to tears and more than willing to "chat up" a young reptile such as myself.

I took stock of my choices - male bonding with a bunch of drunk fools screaming without effect at a television screen or spending some often "profitable" time with lovely ladies who were otherwise ignored.  It was a no brainer (and for you Texans who still don't understand, "no brainer" means the time with the ladies won - no contest).
