This is kinda like deciding between a sports car and a pickup truck.  Both will get you down the road, but in different styles.  Smoking using a WSM is fairly easy once you get the hang of it.  Smoking with a Weber Kettle is a little more high maintenance but still plenty doable.  If all you're going to use it for is smoking, the WSM makes a lot more sense.  The kettle will do a broader range of jobs, though.  Flip a coin?
