Help me fill in the blanks
« Reply #-1 on: September 01, 2013, 05:53:59 PM »
Hi all, here are a few pictures of my setup at home.

I have several really good cookers: Original Bradley smoker, Charbroil SRG & Beesr, and an Outdoor Gourmet pellet grill. The only problem is, I still have room for more. I need want to fill the empty space with a cooker that will compliment what I already have. I have a lot of stuff to cook low and slow but I don't have a good hot and fast cooker, other than the SRG grill but it's kinda small. I'm considering a good gasser, or a charcoal grill, or maybe a PBC, or an Old Smokey, or a blackstone 36" griddle. I just can't make up my mind. I would appreciate the opinions of all of you more experienced outdoor cooks.
Oh and the budget is around $300.

Thanks
Mike

I vote for the Blackstone - I have the 4 burner version and love it. Nothing like a flat top burger. Can do almost anything you can imagine. Think of your favorite diner - probably running a flat top - and they make everything!

Mine lives on my deck in Minnesota, year 'round.  I use it year round as well.

Being an old fry cook, I gotta vote for the Blackstone grill.

The Blackstone has a slight lead at the moment but I recently saw this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Brinkmann-Portable-Tailgate-Grill-Griddle-Accessory-/251326017653#vi-content and it looks pretty good.

I'm thinking either a nice ceramic or a flat-top griddle.

I added a camp chef 2 burner explorer stove to
The collection last spring. Griddle on half for flat top stuff and other burner for those times I need a high powered stove.  Corn, canning etc.

Sorry to go off topic, when it rains, do you get any water in there from run off or just coming in?

We did before we built the cover and installed the gutter. I also put a drain in the back corner so any water that does get in has some place to go.
