Chef, so very sorry to hear of you and your family's loss. You have my condolences. We lost our Gizmo in June, and I know it's not an easy transition to life without your best friend. They are always there.....and when they are not, it's gut-wretching at first. But in time the pain eases, the thoughts are of the very best of times, and a smile or laughter is shared amongst yourselves. Just like our human family and friends when they pass, we mourn them, but we are proud that our lost friend was a part of our lives. It's been about 3 1/2 mos. and I wouldn't have thought I would be ready for another dog for at least a year, but I think I'm ready to have a new friend. My wife was Gizmo's mother (because of the sad circumstances of how he came into the world) and her thoughts were early on that she may not ever be ready. She told me last week, that she is ready. So we are in the market for a new friend. Life goes on, and we gotta go on as well. Again sir, we are sorry for your loss and hope that one day your hearts will open up again.
