Hello from Dallas, OR!
« Reply #-1 on: November 11, 2013, 05:02:02 PM »
Hey everyone!  Finally decided to join up after learning a TON from reading through your collective expertise, and am thrilled to be a part of this little community!

I got lucky enough to land a job here in Dallas at MAK Grills earlier this year, and have been cooking up a storm after getting my first pellet grill, a 2 Star General.  My family is from Alaska, so I've grown up smoking salmon before I had the teeth to chew it (I'm the little towhead in the red slicker in my avatar pic), and it's been an absolute blast getting to expand my knowledge of smoking and cooking.

We have a little farm (about 3 acres), and raise chickens, ducks, goats and rabbits, so I'm excited to share some of my own cooking adventures with ya'll too!

Been a pleasure to learn from you so far, and looking forward to even more!

Pete-- Nope!  I was the one at the front desk (grabbed a new hat for you, since yours was a little faded!).  I've usually got a little less of a 5 o'clock shadow than Dennis there!  ;D  Although our hair is almost of length.  :)

Was great to meet you, by the way!  Always great to have people come by and check out the shop.
