Title: Cook Air Grill
Post by: Smokin Don on December 30, 2015, 04:36:16 PM
I have a friend that has one of these little grills and loves it. Thought some of you might be interested. It is just 14 inch, burns their wood pucks or any wood chunks much like a pellet grill. What looks good is it will get to 1100 deg. in 5 minutes; perfect for searing. Some of you sous vide fans may like this. I might look into one in the spring. Looks good to me for just $150.

Wow! at those temps - it would be a pizza making machine!...I think that might find it
s way to my house...Small enough I can hide it under my pillow - and tell the Mrs. that the Tooth Fairy got the wrong address.... :D

Well I had been eyeballing one of these and just ordered one from Amazon.

It looks like the perfect portable steak cooker.

I am interested in reading reviews of this grill from users on this site.  Will or can you use cooking pellets or do you have to use the Wood Pucks?  If you have to use the Wood Pucks it could be a rather expensive cooking option.  Anyway it does seem to have potential!  I am thinking about the potential to start a steak on a pellet grill at low temperature for smoking and finish it at a very high temperature on this grill - yum!

My friend said he tried pellets and they don't work well. He uses large wood chunks, you can buy these in different wood by the bag. Don

That is a discontinued model. It seems to be prone to rusting out according to Amazon reviews. The newer one seems better made and shouldn't rust.
P.S............fellow Canadians the new ones are available at Home Depot for 149 with free shipping.

Same price as in the states is hard to pass up so I also ordered one. Now I've got to go pull out a tooth and use the tooth fairy thing also. LOL.
