These GrillGrates are very nice!
We had just bought our current house a few years ago, and the friends helping us basically busted up my dependable old Charmglow grill. Having several home improvement projects in the works, I didn't want to spend big bucks to replace it, so I bought a smaller, less expensive model. Boy, did I set myself up for failure! By the time I had developed a decent grill mark on my steak, it was well done!! I ended up using a cast iron grill pan on my cooktop, and finished steaks in the oven. Recently been researching new grills, and came upon a U-Tube lauding the capabilities go GrillGrates. Boy, they weren't lying! I'm getting like 550°-600° grate temperatures! Got a set cut custom for my grill...were good to go!!
