Title: My new air fryer
Post by: Roget on December 03, 2017, 03:00:45 PM
I got a new air fryer Friday & decided to try it out last night.

It is the PowerAirFryer Oven.
It has 3 racks & a rotissorie with a basket, a spit, and Kabob skewers.

I made chicken wings on the racks & fries in the rotating basket.

The wings were seasoned with Cajun seasoning & garlic powder, shaken in Panko bread crumbs, then cooked @ 370° for 22 minutes.

The fries (frozen) were cooked @ 400° for 12 minutes.

Both the wings & the fries came out perfect.
I didn't preheat the air fryer before cooking, so I think it would actually take about 3 minutes less for both items if not starting from a cold oven.

Not a very attractive plating (I was hungry   :D), but it was a pretty good meal.

I think I'm gonna keep it. ;)

We have watched the infomercial about 3 times now and I think your post has pushed me over the edge.....

Please show us pics of a rotisserie cook because that is what intrigues us most about this air fryer

Ironic that you should ask for that because I had already planned kabobs as my next cook.
Unfortunately, I have a tentative second date with a surgeon so it may be a few days before I get to do it.

I have not seen that one before.  Looks interesting.

Back in the 1970's we bought one of those "Galloping Gourmet Prefectionaire Ovens" from a late night infomercial.  Still have it and loved to use it in the camper before I sold the trailer.  I've been thinking about getting one of the newer models, but counter space is pretty much all filled up (and the wife glares at me every time I talk about bringing home a new toy).

Good looking cook.  Now you and Tom have me looking at air fryers, as if I needed more cooking gadgets. ;)
