My lowest setting is 85° F and the highest is 150° F. I suppose I could have cut the time down some by maxing out the temp but I was just going from a web page that suggested 130° F for the temp.

There is a lot of moisture in tomatoes so it takes a long time but they also rehydrate real good!

I think you did just right,I have a couple hotter dehydrators but the slower one does a fine job too.

Now you know why sun-dried tomatoes are so pricey. It's a whole lot cheaper to dehydrate them yourself, especially if you have a garden. But it does take a while.

And Mike is right; dried tomatoes rehydrate very well.

Yup with the season coming into fall here and I have tomatoes turning almost every half day. Gave so many away people don't want any more. I have had so many BLT's in the past month I really don't want to see another for some time. These are only the small cherry and ruma tomatoes that are ready now. I still have the big San Marzano Tomatoes plants. They are slow this year but have some really nice tomatoes growing on them. Most likely they will be moved into the green house soon to keep them warm at night.
