The season winding down
« Reply #-1 on: September 17, 2014, 07:46:23 PM »
So the only thing I had going this year was cherry, Roma and beef steak tomatoes. I have some Jalapeno but they are slow to grow. So far I have got about 6 off of 8 plants. I left all in planters so I can move them inside and out. Now that the weather is maybe 60 F degrees during the day and close to freezing at night they are living in the green house 24/7. Tonight I have a heat lamp on as we are going to get frost tonight.

Well on the bright side I have eaten, gave away many and dehydrated so many tomatoes it's unreal.
Every two days I have 2 tray's of these going into the dehydrator. It takes 24-30 hours to dehydrate so its been working out very well time wise. I use this rub garlic/pepper on them and they are very tasty when done.  ;)

All bagged up and into the freezer when needed for soups, pasta or what ever.
