Fuel source
« Reply #-1 on: December 07, 2011, 08:16:27 PM »
While we might use more than one type of heat source in our outside cooking adventures...what is your main source of fuel? While we might use wood for smoke flavoring adding chunks and chips don't count. I am looking for the main source of heat.
I for one am a Kingsfordholic but I do have an Electric Char-Broil smoker which has it's moments.
I left this poll open so all of our new members when they join can jump on in!!

I need an "ALL the Above option" it depends on which cooker I happen to using for the cook.

Since I bought my MAK, my old Weber Kettle is collecting dust.  I still have about 600 pounds of different flavored pellets in my inventory.  However, I keep some charcoal around just for those emergencies when I might need to cook a burger or steak.

Guess I got here too late to vote in the poll.  However, I'll enter for the record that I'm pellets primarily followed by charcoal in my Weber Performer.  My gasser is mostly for keeping stuff warm.

Can't commit to just one.  I use charcoal in my Weber Kettles, my WSMs, my NBBD and my Big Green Egg.  I use propane for my Weber Qs and my Brinkman All-In-One.  I use pellets for my Traeger 075.  I also have an electric smoker, but I haven't used it in years.

Large Big Green Egg, Traeger BBQ075, NBBD, La Caja China, Brinkman All-In-One, Weber Q200, Weber Q220, Weber Q320, WSM, and more Weber kettles than I care to admit.

Pellets for me.   Sometimes a bit of electricity if I am using my Bradley for smoking salt, etc.

Gas if the power goes out.  8)
