Heading to NOLA for Jazz Fest  8)
Ka-Hona flew in from the island Wednesday!
Meeting for drinks & dinner tonight.
Planning on BBQ shrimp & chargrilled oysters this weekend!
Turtle invited all of you to meet up with us!
Except Tim but we invited Kay (his wife) ::)
Seeing the Who tomorrow.
Jimmy Buffet, Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga Sunday!

Interesting line-up......didn't know The Who had a jazzy side to em  ;)

Nice you are gonna see Tony Bennett, he is a link to the past, to a time when Big Bands ruled and Crosby and Sinatra topped the charts  8)

I remember the first time I saw The Who in the 60's in Birmingham. It was their first trip to the  States and they were the second act at The Shower Of Stars behind Jerryy Lee Lewis who was trying to make a comeback after his problems. Watch the movie. Jerry Lee came out and tore it up. He beat the heck out of that piano and the last song "Whole Lot Of Shaking" he busted the piano bench and took lighter fluid and set the piano on fire. You could see The Who standing in the wings like WTF?


 When The Who came out, on their last song Pete Townsend took his guitar and smashed the heck out of it. I still think Jerry Lee started their tradition.
