Had dinner with Art
« Reply #-1 on: May 15, 2015, 09:27:23 AM »
Last min change to Art's trip brought him to Huntsville a few days early.     Albert had plans and couldn't make it and tried to get a hold of Gus but last min is hard for everything.

Anyway, we met up with Art and Maureen at their hotel and took them to Big Bob Gibson's place so Art could mark this one off his bucket list.  Had a great visit and Art finally got to meet Kimmie and I got to meet Maureen.

Didn't get but one picture was too busy having fun talking everyone and they places they have been  :D :D :D

After dinner Kimmie drove (my knees are out) and took them to see the Saturn V rocket(s)  we have here at the space museum then we took a ride downtown to see Old Huntsville then back to their hotel where I'm sure they slept great!

I did get a chance to try the chocolate burnt ends Art made, Kimmie loved them and I thought why had I not done this before  ;)

Tommy took a picture with his "skinny camera".  I appreciate your comment.  (You want something from me, right Sparky?)  You must be out of that good NC Sourwood Honey.

We had a great time with Tommy and Kimmie.  I hate to admit this, but my wife thought the pulled pork sandwich was pretty good.  (What does she know?)  I really didn't like the "white sauce" added to the chicken that I ordered.  Apparently it had been added while the chicken was cooking, which wasn't bad in that regard.  Their fries were really good.  The homemade pecan pie was, well I had to fight my wife to get any, good!!

We are already planning on bringing our grandson back to see the rockets.  He will be blown away!!
