Jaxon, I'll be there and I think Brad will also.  Dee

YOU guys are killin' me.... :D :D :D

I will drag up 8) - and make it there somehow. I still dream about those do-nuts of Pam's - and the Conecuh sausage that HOS was cooking on Jaxon's Argentine style grill - using cherry and pecan wood. ( Just promise me you will have cherry and pecan wood Jack - please???  ;D ;D ;D ) The smell of those 2 woods - and the flavor is not to be believed until you are there!

Sorry we are out of sync, sir...

Typically, this event depends on IR2DUM's schedule...it usually works out to be the first or second weekend in October.

This event started a few years ago when Bremer called me and said he was on his way back home to Houston.  His route through Atlanta was a couple of hours north, but he wanted to take the time to come down and meet us.  We had a great visit and supper.  The next time he scheduled his trip to NC we called some members and asked if they wanted to be here for supper and to meet DON.  Heck yeah, everybody wanted to meet Don.  Now, he makes a business trip from Houston to NC twice a year and he is always gracious enuff to go out of his way to come see us and we always have a cookout.  Last October there were 6 of us for the cookout.  On his springtime migration, we had 12 or more.  This Cookout will include even more people from the forum...everyone wants to meet Don.  He IS the most interesting man in the world - and he doesn't even drink!

Seriously, though, we just make our place available for folks to get together and invite anyone who wants to come.  It is a very special time when forum members who have chatted thru the years to finally meet face to face.

Jaxon, just stop. If you keep that up, I'll have to change my name to Saint IR2dum. Everybody all ready knows me and knows that my name is 2dum for a reason so that ship has all ready sailed. I'm just thankful that you let me participate and hang out with everybody. I hope that there will be a lot of old and especially new faces there. It really is a great time. Jaxon and Deb are the most gracious hosts with a beautiful home and backyard. Folks, don't miss this opportunity to meet all your friends in a friendly environment, make new friends, learn a lot about outdoor cooking, and overdose on great food. See you there.
