Hard Boiled Eggs In The Air Fryer
« Reply #-1 on: March 04, 2018, 05:13:43 PM »
I have to say this works perfectly. I have always had a hard time taking off the shell without ruining the egg. Using the air fryer to cook the eggs and allow to chill for 15-20 minutes in ice water worked great.
Preheat air fryer to 250F
Place eggs in basket (do not poke holes into the egg)
Cook @ 250F for 16 minutes
Cool in ice water for 15-20 minutes

Never had ice so I used snow from outside lol

Peeled perfect every time

Picture perfect

Ya I could have done that but pulling out my All-American 25-Quart Pressure Cooker/Canner just seems like over kill to me to do a few hard boiled eggs. LOL Beside this is learning to cook things with the air fryer. :)

LOL
Ya I used to do that to but if you looked at them after I peeled them you would think the devil made the devil eggs :)
No matter what time I used or technic I could just not get those suckers peeled without taking half the egg with the shells.

This has worked perfectly twice now and I am sticking to it  :P

This method has always worked for us.

put eggs in pan and cover with COLD water from tap
put on stove on High (we have natural gas stove so not sure if this makes a diff)
set timer for 20 mins.
when timer goes off remove from heat, pour out hot water and replace with cold water and ice until cool

This works every time.  yolks are never grey and always cooked.  seem to peel just fine.
