My sweetie and I love to go wine tasting, and make at least a couple of trips per year to wine country ranging from Napa/Sonoma, to the Okanagan.
We also dearly love to go RV-ing, so the marriage of the two was inevitable and very rewarding for us. This time we spent a fun weekend in Prosser, Washington - wine tasting at a few of our favorites. We met our friends (another couple) at Wine Country RV park, which is only a short stroll to half a dozen wineries.
Just pulled in - my sweetie is helping us get settled into our spot for the weekend
Kestrel was our first stop. This winery is nice in that it had a nice selection of cheeses
This interesting chap was quite enthusiastic in his presentation of his spirits. Evidently they produce world famous grappa. He also had interesting wheat-based whiskeys.
Airfield winery was also on the list - we enjoyed a bottle of dry rose, with a cheese and fruit plate. There was live entertainment
One of the few pics I have of myself in my entire photo collection (I'm always the photo guy). We're still at Airfield enjoying the evening.
The next day we headed home and stopped by Bookwalter winery - one of my favorite places to visit because I can quietly enjoy a glass of wine and a meat and cheese plate.
My wife and friends decided to join me
Finally back home safe and sound - was really hot so a pomegranate mimosa was just the ticket. We like to use Cook's Grand Reserve, which is a very inexpensive bottle ($5) but surprisingly good
