I Got a Box
« Reply #-1 on: June 12, 2012, 09:51:21 AM »
Went to the mail box and found this stuff hanging out in there. Pretty cool a new A Mazen Pellet Smoker, time to get me a Map Torch or a propane torch so I can light this thing up and do some testing on it. The sender also included a can of Slap Your Momma and enough seasoning to do 25 lbs of snack sticks. Perfect timing I was getting low!! However i might add that my daughter told me she would rather eat 5 jars of the Firecracker carrots before she would EVER lick a tongue full of Slap Your Momma off her hand again :o!!! She is a good sport and I am a mean Dad. I know I know I know

Since I got the pellet smoker I needed a way to start it. So I went and got a one touch propane torch.  I got to thinking about having 3 young boys at my house, and the word SAFETY came to mind. So I bought a new little house for everyone to hangout in together. A 50 cal Ammo can with the ability to put a padlock on it, if need be.

Smoke..I have used chips and pellets and the sawdust too..just pick a flavor. I  also chopped up a couple of Jim Beam pucks too. Nothing is safe from me.  Pam .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ

Smoke the one that I have is designed for pellets. It really puts out some smoke to.

Nice toy. Any advantage on the tube over the squared one?

From what I have been told the round one is more for your grills than for use in a smoker. Probably do to the length of the tube shortening the smoke time. Since you will be running your grill for shorter times than a smoker if that makes sense.

I have read there is a problem keeping the square on lit in the pellet smokers due to the convection fan. Supposedly the new round one does not have this issue in the pellet grills.

I will put that to the test Mike the next time I use the Dragon Lady. That is if I remember

10.5..I got one of them pencil torches to light mine..I have the same setup that you have but find that it's easier to keep with the amaze-n-smoker, just set it in the smoker when done. I don't have the kids to deal with tho. I also have the sawdust stuff too. It burns too fast so I use mostly pellets now. Pam  .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ
