Title: Baked spaghetti squash with lots of cheese and homemade sauce
Post by: TMB on March 23, 2017, 07:33:07 PM
Y'all know I'm on a low carb diet so thinking how or what can I do different I've been tossing ideas by TentHunter (Cliff) and Tee

Cliff told me about spaghetti squash so I took it to Kimmie for her thoughts and this is what I came up with

Bake spaghetti squash with homemade sauce

Really good and I'm going to keep this one for sure

OH by the way, that really is broccoli on the left.  Not sure why but the last two days I have had a craving for raw broccoli   ??? ???

After adding the carb count it was high thinking around 12 to 16 for the bake and 4 for the broccoli BUT I have only had a couple of carbs all day so I'm still under the 30 carbs.

30 carbs is my limit for each day

Bravissimo, Tommy!!!    Now that's what I call doing low-carb right!

We've done a couple of dishes with zucchini pasta in the last couple weeks that I need to post (just been so busy).

Tommy:  I have been making spaghetti squash with my homemade Italian sausage sauce too.  One thing that I would recommend is to cook the squash in an air fryer.  It only takes 8 minutes and comes out perfect.  Season it with your favorite seasonings and some butter before cooking.  Good eats.  I am also trying to be on a low carb diet, and as you know, it is hard to keep under your daily limit goal as everything seems to have carbs.  I was shocked to see that real maple syrup has 54 g in 1/4 cup.  One good item that I found and used to mix with ground beef or turkey is mayo;  it has zero carbs.
