Title: Torn between Happy places
Post by: tlg4942 on January 18, 2018, 04:54:07 PM
So RG ask us "where's my Happy Place "?  And I've been thinking about that since he posted...  2017 really wasn't a real happy year for me.
All the political crap Which I HATE , Then we did a huge project here at work that was very trying mentally and drug on and on trying to get it finished.  Just sort of put me in a year long funk.
Well it's time to pull up and out of it!
Cliff posted about his deer hunt and processing , then my boss text me this morning that he hears pigs down by my swamp blind"! Which is a really happy place for me.
So I think I'm on my way to this happy place and then my sister texts and says lets get everybody together for a cookout this weekend.   Having the family together is a great happy place as well.
Now I'm torn between happy places! How do I finigal both????

I think a "happy place" is like a good dominant NFL Defense.   It travels. Your "happy place" can be wherever you are at.

That is about as deep as I get.................

Take the boss with you for hunting on Friday and Saturday (so you can call it a "team building session" or something and not have to take time off). Then invite sis to the boucherie on Sunday.

My happy place is in cape cod ma. It hasn't changed since I was a kid. I love watching the kids play in the water and at night for dinner I get a lobster roll or fried whole belly clams. Nothing like it anywhere else .

I agree but I will add Block Island on the hook with a wind driven steak on the Grill & beer in the cooler

I never did Rhode Island or block island. A guy I work with loves it and goes every year. He always raves about the clam cakes and some kind of local hot dog. I'm sure I'm spelling it wrong but saugies . Or at least that what it sounds like. He also says he buys lobster straight from the fisherman at the docks. Sounds like a awesome place. He's never done block island but I'm sure that's amazing. Imagine living year round on block island ? It's gotta feel like another world out their
