Hi Everyone,
Thank you for adding me to the Forum.
I have been smoking for about 10 years now. I have a Bradley OBS and an SRG. I’m not sure why I took so long to join this forum as I’ve read posts on here over the years. I don’t bbq in the Bradley as much as I would like, mostly because I live in a condo. However my SRG gets a lot of use, whether it’s a prime rib, chicken wings or just grilling. Anyone know a trick to keeping the grill grate clean?
I hope to be able to add to the forum and I know I will continue learning a ton.
By the way, I’m not really bitter but I do love the Aztecs

Art - We have a "resident expert?" Only one? And it's Tommy? Don't tell Tee.
bitteraztec - I think what Art meant to say was "our resident SRG expert" - and, yes, that would be Tommy. And, yes, he'll undoubtedly be along directly.

Welcome aboard!! you came to the BEST sight if you want and need info on all kinda thing not just smoking and grilling
As far as cleaning you SRG grate there are 2 ways to do this I have found.
1... If it just needs a light cleaning get it real hot and spritz with a water bottle and use a brush to get the baked on stuff off.
2.... I spray with oven cleaner and place in a black garbage bag and leave out in the sun light to heat up the bag for a few hrs then a lite scub and your done..
( I have to original grate which does not have a coating on it, so not sure how a oven cleaner would effect that type grate) .
Make sure to spritz and wipe with oil after cleaning either way
