Title: Greetings from North Carolina!
Post by: happyappy on September 12, 2013, 11:10:24 AM
After drooling over the smokey creations displayed here as a guest; I decided to join in the fun!

Growing up near Lexington, NC I've enjoyed smoked pork my whole life.  I have fond memories of hanging out with my grandpa at Speedy's BBQ smelling the hickory smoke and cooking pork shoulders (If Chanel was smart they'd come out with a perfume for women based on that smell!).

I've smoked my share of meat in an old masterbuilt 7 in 1 propane cooker bought at least 10 years ago at Big Lots.   :)  I finally decided to retire it when the one remaining handle broke off.  I have a shiny new BEESR on its way to me from Lowe's so I've been doing my homework on how to get the best results with it.  There are some obvious experts here that I hope to learn from.

I already have a list of new recipes to try on my new BEESR....wings, beef roast, smoked stuffed peppers, and of course I'll have to smoke a fatty!   8)

Let the smoke roll....

Welcome from Minnesota. You've joined the right group. I have an SRG and a vertical electric smoker from Char-Broil. I am sure there are some folks on here with the BEESR. Be sure to share your cooks and pictures - I look forward to reading about and watching your cooks!

Welcome from north Idaho!  I recently purchased the SRG, and am also on the learning curve on how to coax the best food from it.
