Sure looks nice. I'm not sure I trust myself with wi-fi. I feel guilty when I fall asleep on the couch with my Mavericks on. I don't think the temptation of being able to monitor completely remotely is a good idea for me. ???

I have been very interested in this device every since Muebe did his write up. I had (yes I said HAD) a Maverick E732 and loaned it to my Son-in-Law a year ago and I doubt that I will ever see it again ::) Been looking at the iGrill but I it only has Bluetooth and from some of the reviews I am not sure if the iGrill is the way to go. I really like the feature of having 4 probes as I could monitor the top and bottom of the cabinet temps and top and bottom of the sausage as it is smoking. Or doing a load of pork or Brisket and having a probe for each one. The thing that is stopping me is the $199.00 cost. I use a PID to control the cabinet temp so that is not a big concern to me. I do tend to leave the house when I am doing sausage and it would be fantastic to check on things with the iPhone while away from the house. I am really trying to talk myself into buying this unit. Oh me, Oh my, what to do, what to do? ;D

Trying to set it up but can't figure out my router's SSID... It's a Linksys E4200. I tried to access via 192.168.1.1 but I get an error page instead.
I tried to talk with Linksys tech support but it's offshore and their English skills are somewhat lacking.
Any computer types have advise?

Your SSID should be broadcasting. Use a smart phone or laptop to view available networks. Odds are pretty good it is the strongest one. If you already have something connected, just look at the connection for the SSID. You can also use the push button WPS to connect something (not sure if that device is compatible) and then find the SSID from the onnected device.

If you find the SSID, the default login on LinkSys used to be "admin" with no password, if I am remembering correctly.

If you're receiving a page error message through your browser, one other thing to try is a different IP address - sometimes it is 192.168.0.1 - although the default is the one you tried. The default SSID for your router should be: CiscoXXXXX, where the XXXXX the last five (5) digits of the router’s serial number, which is found at the bottom of the router

Is the SSID the same as the network name? When I look at network connections, I see the network name and the location as 192.168.1.1

If you have to type in the name of the SSID rather than choosing it from a list on the device you're trying to connect, keep in mind that it is case sensitive in many instances

I got the Tappecue set up today... router issues finally got resolved. (Lynksys customer support was useless!)
Will try it out tomorrow when I smoke some Canadian bacon on the Yoder.
It doesn't seem to have a desktop interface, just a mobile phone.
