welp, i bought sally to cook excellent chicken.  lets see what the old girl can do. 

da players





note to self:  get the swing out basket or cut your basket up like tommy. 



the one side burnt again.  maybe i need to rotate basket threw cook.  ok, well i remembered what ya'll told me last time.  1st 25 minutes lid down. last 15 lid up. 



i have to say.  a great looking bird.



ok, thee best chicken i have every had.  moist.  one more time.  very moist. 



wife told me that sally is the only way she wants her chicken cooked anymore.  she loved the crispy skin.  great flavor.  i put some pellets in my smoker box for some soft smoke flavor.  got a kiss from the mrs for this one too (thanks mr CB for Sally).  need all the kisses i can get.

Good looking bird, just remember that high sugar rubs burn easy in infrared.   The bird looks realy good

Good looking Yardbird there Sparky. It looks like the sugars in the rub are what burned and blackened on your bird. Next time try the K.I.S.S. rub Salt Pepper and Garlic (McCormick California Style).

Sparky I have found this to be a really great rub for all types of chicken in the SRG. I put it on wing pieces and the boys woof them down without any extra sauce or anything. Most times they have 20 wings gone before I get any at all. I use the one on top in the 6 oz shaker the original flavor
