Maple Smoked Pork Loin SRG style
« Reply #-1 on: April 06, 2015, 09:04:43 PM »
Going to have a lot of long days this week so I pulled a pork loin section out of the freezer. A good layer of S & P and into the SRG on high, lid down till it hit 99 and had a good color to it, then lid up to 142 and out to rest for slicing. I only got a picture straight out of the basket, so her it is. Normally I wouldn't post something this simple but it sure looked good and tasted great today as a sandwich on rye.

No shame in that! The simple things done right, are always more effective...( remember you military training... ;) ) And in this case - they taste great too. ;D

That is "simply" great looking. Maple was a good choice of wood, it is very underrated when it comes to smoking woods.

I agree with the others;  simple, done right always works.

Thanks for all the nice comments, it's nice to be able to find some time to cook and post. The final result was excellent, the Maple was a good choice and it was moist and tender.
