Wife and I were going camping but the warm weather we had (104ยบ on Wednesday) made us cancel those plans. So we decided with the long weekend we are dove hunting, smoking fatties, a prime rib and a brisket. Should have some great leftovers for next weeks short work week!

Lucy & I are going on our first dove hunt today! Lots of food will be there but im not cooking or hunting , I'll have my hands ful with Lucy ::)
Sunday I'm cooking a prime ribeye , grill / roasted potatoes & a salad.
Labor Day  a small butt & Baby Back ribs.

I like the Crimson Tide as well LA...being #2 aint half bad my Southern brother!!  ;)

... and with a 41+ point spread, it's likely to be a pretty ugly day here in Hawaii.  Good thing we're going to a friend's house where the food will be excellent, including my big pot of real chili (no tomatoes or beans were harmed) and the accompanying pot of pinto beans.  Life can be good even when your team is looking at being slaughtered.

Hang in there Turtle. I am just glad football is back...we will be good hosts while Hawaii is here and send them back safe and sound!!

Rib Eyes tonight, Porterhouse Steaks tomorrow and I have to work the close shift on Monday so no cooking then.
