You guys are killing me.... I keep reading and finding new ideas. This time, I found the recipe from Hub on the EZ Pastrami and had to give it a go. This was more for me than the family. The wife might like it, but the kids will not.
I followed the recipe to the letter and it came out pretty good. The main issue was the fact that my local Walmart was out of Coriander so I had to go to a couple of stores to find some, eventually finding a roasted version.
Got the meat washed up and dried (actually 3x over a day and 1/2)
The Spices mixed up - did not seem like enough, but it surely was!
All seasoned up....
First cut after it cooled this morning...
The only problem - no way to really get it sliced thin. It was enough to make a good sandwich with Munster cheese and yellow mustard. Overall, not really salty and pretty good flavor!
Will have to find something for next weekend....
