country ribs on the srg
« Reply #-1 on: May 23, 2016, 08:40:17 PM »
was never much for country ribs but had some in stock. so lets try em on the srg.
black pepper & garlic salt, near the bottom of the basket w/apple wood until a little over 140. then covered them & set aside while the grille grate got hot. burned em on high for 15 min per side w/barbecue sauce, then rest covered for 15 minutes.
WOW, tender, juicy, not grisly. Good Eats!!

Thanks for posting... I have only ever done country ribs in the crock pot.  In fact, the wife made some tonight using the left over BBQ sauce I made for a cook over the weekend.  I thought they had to be cooked quite a while to get tender.

Look tasty to me, I do mine on the grate only for the entire cook and they always turn out perfect.

yes, in the basket, near the bottom on low. then basket out, grate on, turned up to high.
finished cook on grate mopped w/barbecue sauce.
kind of a "reverse sear" if you will.
mildly crusty outside & moist/tender all the way thru the middle.
