Anyway we both were craving cheeborgers! So used a 1 1/2 # bag of 60/40 from Old Dave's recipe, which got us 5 nearly 5 oz. burger balls. A few shakes of BD's Dry Rub on both sides of the balls and on the preheated griddle @ 485F they went. Each got a quick smashing before being allowed to crisp and then flipped, a slice of Colby topped the sizzling meat! A couple hash brown patties were sizzling as well over in the corner and they got cheesed too! Oh Bella gets the crumbles!
My borger simply had sliced red onion and was so juicy nothing else was needed. Every time I make these burgers , after that first bite I smile and think of Old Dave! Wow are these good! Plated with the hash brown patties and Grillin' Beans steak house style.
Oh my stove gets booted off the deck whenever I make these burgers because they splattered so much!
