Burned out my Ronco Rotisserie
« Reply #-1 on: December 09, 2016, 10:50:41 PM »
Our Ronco finally gave up after 25 years. Boy they sure don't make things to last. I found a new convection oven with rotisserie for $69 on a black Friday deal. It's cold and blowing snow so I need to cook inside today.

I took a small boneless Pork loin and sliced it open like a book. Added cooked apples and homemade cranberries.

Rolled and tied with my Pork rub on it.

Into the cooker it goes for 40 minutes.

Served with cheese vermicelli, homemade beets and maple syrup carrots. Not too shabby for a Friday night dinner.

Had our Ronco for Winter roasting until I settle in Savannah, GA with 365 days a year outside cooking.
Gave it away and every now and than we miss it usefulness.

Now, that meal looks great so nicely done.

Question arises in my mind, how do you like this rotisserie compared to the Ronco?

The Ronco was a lot bigger but this cooks a chicken just as good, plus having the convection is great. I wanted another Ronco but they are around $300 here.

I have a Big George that I use just for that, but it sure does take up a lot of storage space to be used for a single purpose.
