It’s ridiculous how these “jobs” interfere with our Q time... arghh!!!!!  Recently told my wife that one day when I retire, I would love to have a top notch stick burner going darn near around the clock... and just cook everything on it. She said, “sounds good to me!” Man, retirement can’t come fast enough now... lol.

I will probably get to use it this weekend for first time. Just keep it simple. Maybe some chicken breasts, couple of burgers and throw on a pot of chili. After seasoning of course. I need to read how to do that as if it takes an hour I might season it while I’m mowing yard tonight. Well time to look at instructions again.

Well last night read how to season it and started it up and it went out. Per instructions I restarted it right away went up to 450 but since I didn’t take time to configure WiFi it quit again restarted and after a bit did it again. So I guess I can’t ise it until I get WiFi up.  Maybe Sunday  :(

Not sure I understand....

-You started it and it went out?
-You restarted took it up to 450° and it quit again?
-You restarted one last time and experienced the same?

When it goes out, what do you see on the controller? Is the controller losing power as in a breaker/GFIC is tripping? If not tripping a breaker/GFIC is there a message on the Pellet Boss or does it look normal (rotating through the various bits of info)? When you say it goes out, safe to assume you are completely losing your fire? If yes, have you checked the firepot to see what’s going on in there? Is it full of unburnt pellets?

Unfortunately, your description leaves me a bit confused. Would love to be of more help, but will need more info...

In the instructions it says upon first start up if it goes out start it up again. No biggie did that and it took off. I did not nhave WiFi configured but assumed I could use it still. After a while pellet boss was beeping saying something like WiFi failure, sorry didn’t write it down hit star on pellet boss brought set point back up to 450 and it took off. A few minutes later it was beeping and said the same thing. I shut it off and let it cool down. Since WiFi module is installed it must want to use WiFi but since it is not configured it must think something is wrong and go into fault mode is all I can think of. It did reach 450 twice it just wouldn’t stay there once it went into fault mode. Hopefully after I configure WiFi I can still use in manual mode.
