Tommy, what  temp did you have the Bradley at?
Set the temp at low (old style Bradley) temp ran 150 to 170  I did pull the smoke generator back a few inches to help control heat.  I smoked for 6 hrs then brought into the house to finish dehydrating.   

I used an A-Maze-N smoker box for the smoke, I don't trust the Bradley smoke generator anymore

Tommy, sound like our Bradleys are about in the same condition. All that's left of my original is the cabinet. I tossed the smoke generator years ago and use the A-MAZ-N smoker in a Bradley cold smoke adapter. for quicker temperature recovery, I also converted the element long ago to a 900W finned element that controlled by an Auber PID.
