Chicken Fricassee and Homemade Rolls!

Earlier today I started tonight's dinner by browning off some chicken thighs and breasts.





While that was going I made a roux.


This picture was before I got it to my desired darkness.




While making the roux I also got the onions cooking down.





Man am I glad we have a good range vent! The whole house was smelling like onions. Lol......


Added chicken stock/broth, seasonings and let it simmer a couple of hours.





It just felt like a batch of homemade rolls would go good with this so I threw together some dough and made rolls. I have misplaced my good homemade rolls recipe so I'm trying different recipes. These came out good but not as good as what I usually make.





Served with honey buttered carrots and corn.

A feast for the eyes and I can imagine the aroma wafted throughout the home. Looks really good.  Are your onions being cooked in an old magna-lite pan? Just curious.

Thanks! Yes, that's a OLD Magnalite that was my mother's. I have that and several others from her as well as some given to us when we got married. Great pots!
