I can't see myself using my spring form pan and ruining it. Maybe I'll buy a cheap one and use it instead (tommy ring). The foil works for me for now.

Ruining it? No Mike. All that color it ends up taking on after a few cooks enhances the spring form pan. Your wife will be dying to use it after that
