fired up little blackie and away we go.

cut off the fat cap (love da bark) w/ the help of 10.5 video of trimming some bacon.  worked very good.

brown dog riba riba and some JH's pecan.

probed up and some water for moisture.

look at that bark.  ya.   :P

took 1/2 jar of apple butter and added some apple juice to it.  shakey, shakey and waa laa.  butt juice.

wrapped back up and put back on the mak while it powered down.

clean bone.

nectar of the pork gods.

put meat back in juicey goodness and bagged up.

meal was great.  coleslaw sucked @ss.  store bought.  icky, icky.  butt was very good.  one of the best.

Very NICE!!!!    I was wondering if apple butter could be used like CYM?   I mean muebe is using molasses as a binder so apple butter should work right?   May need to try it.

OH Kimmie would love that bark Sparky ;)

Poke looks awesome. If that is the slaw on your plate.....looks too minced for my liking. So toss it and have another Sammy.

Awesome sparky. How big was the butt and how long did it go?

not sure how big.  bought it at winco and wasn't wearing my glasses.  it just looked good.  i ran my program #3 on the pellet boss.  it smoked for 2 1/2 hours on smoke then 250° until the temp probe hit 200°.  never opened the lid until it was done.  started it at 9 pm and it finished arount 2 pm the next day.  15 hours total cooking time and 2 hours of rest on the mak.

Looks great Sparky. Nice use of the Apple Butter ;)

I am also very particular about my slaw. There is a place out here that has wasabi cole slaw and it is so good!

I think I thought it was a little sweet yet. I lean to more tangy sauce. Play with it nad let me know if you come up with anything good. Don
